This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Run Mastery (the "Service") collects, how we use it, and the rights you have. We aim to collect only what we need to give you a training plan and coaching.
Who is responsible
Run Mastery is the controller of your personal data. You can export or delete your data yourself from My Plan in the app. For anything else, contact joe@runmastery.co.
What we collect
- Account data: your name and email address.
- Training profile: age, sex, resting heart rate, current fitness, weekly volume, goals, and target times that you provide.
- Training activity: your generated plan, workouts, completions, and adjustments.
- Coaching messages: the questions you ask the AI coach and its responses.
- Billing data: subscription status and a customer identifier from our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers; payments are handled by Stripe.
- Technical data: basic usage and device information needed to operate and secure the Service.
How we use it
- To create and adapt your personalized training plan and calculate your heart-rate zones.
- To provide AI coaching based on your profile and questions.
- To manage your account, subscription, and billing.
- To send you service and account emails, and, if you opt in, occasional product updates.
- To maintain the security and reliability of the Service and to comply with legal obligations.
Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate and secure the Service. We also use limited first-party analytics to understand how our pages are used (such as page views and basic events) so we can operate and improve the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), based on your consent (where applicable, such as marketing emails and storing health-related inputs you choose to share), to pursue our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, and to comply with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Run Mastery, under appropriate safeguards:
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Anthropic — powers the AI coach; your coaching messages are processed to generate responses.
- EmailOctopus — email delivery.
- Google — optional sign-in, if you choose it.
- Netlify — website and application hosting.
International transfers
Some providers operate outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access and export your data from your account settings.
- Correct your profile information.
- Delete your account and personal data from your account settings.
- Withdraw consent for marketing emails.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Sweden, the IMY).
Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. The date above shows the latest version.
